Terms & Booking Conditions

These terms apply to every booking made through Fishing for Business Owners. Please read them before you book.

1. Who you're booking with

Fishing for Business Owners is organised by Yazaroo Ltd ("the Organiser", "we", "us"). The Organiser arranges and coordinates each trip but does not own or operate the boat.

The boat, skipper and crew are provided by an independent third-party charter operator ("the Operator"), who is a separate business responsible for the vessel, its safety equipment, its crew, and the conduct of the trip on the water. The Operator, not the Organiser, is the provider of the fishing charter service itself.

2. Eligibility

Places are open to owners and directors of UK-registered companies only, as set out on our who can join page. The Organiser may decline or cancel a booking that does not meet this requirement, with a full refund.

3. Booking and payment

A place is confirmed once payment has been received in full (or, where a deposit scheme is offered, once the deposit has been received). Booking a place is a commitment to attend.

4. Cancellation by you

If you can no longer attend, please tell us as soon as possible. Refunds are only given if your place is taken up by another eligible business owner, either found by you or by us. If a replacement cannot be found, no refund will be given, though we will always try to help find one where we can.

5. Cancellation or postponement by the Operator

If the trip is cancelled by the Operator for any reason, including but not limited to bad weather, mechanical issues, or unsafe sea conditions, you will be offered the choice of:

  • a full refund, or
  • postponement of your place to the next scheduled trip.

This choice will be confirmed to you as soon as reasonably possible after the decision to cancel is made, typically the evening before departure following the skipper's weather assessment.

6. Assumption of risk and liability

Sea fishing and boat travel carry inherent risks, including but not limited to slips, falls, seasickness, cold or wet exposure, and (rarely) more serious injury. By booking a place, you confirm that you attend at your own risk and are responsible for assessing your own fitness to participate.

The Operator is responsible for the safe operation of the vessel and compliance with all applicable maritime safety regulations. The Organiser is not the operator of the vessel and does not accept liability for the acts, omissions, negligence, or safety practices of the Operator, its skipper, or its crew. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the laws of England and Wales.

No catch, or any particular quantity or species of fish, is guaranteed on any trip.

7. Health, fitness and accessibility

You must tell us before your trip of any medical conditions, mobility considerations, or dietary needs the skipper should be aware of. Please see who can join for how we handle accessibility requirements, which vary by the vessel chartered for each trip.

8. Photography and images

Photographs and video may be taken during trips for use on this website, our blog, and our social media and marketing channels. By attending, you consent to your image being used in this way. If you would prefer not to be included, please tell us in advance and we will do our best to accommodate this.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms in force at the time you book are the ones that apply to your booking.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
